I just came across a 5-part video documentary via Healthbolt on Derek Paravicini, a blind, autistic pianist. He's incredible and he's a fascinating case study on the peculiarities of the autistic mind.
On a personal note I cannot get enough of listening to truly talented musicians and secondly I wonder what separates people like Derek from other autistic minds. My sister Kathleen works at the New England Institute for Children with a group of autistic kids, I'm sure she would be very interested in this man and how he relates to her kids.
